Stuff's Goin On.

Eh, I like the normal journal better.

Ummm...

May or may not break up with my boyfriend. The stress of him always being away... I won't go into it.

Hmph.

I really want to start doing commissions.

I can do easy chibis for maybe $3-5, and waist-ups for like $5-7, depending on the time.

I'm being cheap because I'm thinking of just drawing on paper, then scanning in. It'll take a bit longer, but it's easier for me (less line-working on the comp) and SHOULD look a bit better.

My anatomy skillz on paper > skillz on computer.

I draw better on paper, but coloring's better on SAI. Just how things are, I guess.

So yes, note me, I never plan to have crazy expensive commissions like them otha artists, but the prices might go up, so note me now, while i'm a commission-artist n00b.

I like your linearts and the way you shade your characters clothes and hair. You wouldn't mind "teaching" me some techniques would you? O.o I'd certainly like some tips.

Anytime. I'm glad to help anyone! Just note me things you might want to know.

In general, the best advice I can give:

Don't use blur tool often. When you use it, never set to 100% strength. Use weak airbrush to put a middle color between blending colors, not blur.

Use warmer colors (red and yellows) to highlight, and cool colors (blue and purple) to shade.

Darker colors are greyer than your base color. Highlights/lights are close to white as well, unless the light is intense, then the light can be more saturated.

Experimenting usually helps the best. <3
